Andhra Pradesh, India: Prof. Dr. Mamidanna Sreedhar, a distinguished scientist and academician originally from Andhra Pradesh, is set to receive the Innovative Professor of the Year Award from Subodh Uniyal, Honorable Minister of Forest and Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The award ceremony is scheduled for February 21, 2026.
The prestigious recognition comes in appreciation of his recently released book titled “Role of AI in Medical Technology” (ISBN available), which explores in depth the deployment of Artificial Intelligence in medical devices and healthcare systems. The book provides comprehensive insights into how AI is transforming diagnostics, monitoring systems, precision medicine, and intelligent medical equipment.
After an illustrious research career spanning the United States and Canada, Prof. Dr. Sreedhar has permanently returned to India, continuing his impactful contributions to academia and higher education. Over the years, he has established multiple research centers through grants from national and international funding agencies, including the Government of India.
His interdisciplinary scholarship includes numerous research publications across psychology, medicine, engineering, human rights, computer science, and biology. His excellence has been recognized with several national and international honors, including the prestigious Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Award conferred by the Governor of West Bengal, along with felicitations from two Chief Ministers in Nepal.
In addition to his AI-focused publication, Prof. Dr. Sreedhar has also authored “Clinical Anatomy and Functional Physiology,” a comprehensive textbook designed for students of medicine, nursing, and allied health sciences.
